THE PANCHAKANYA PROJECT

This project is an ongoing interpretative work that seeks to tell the story of five mythological women as seen through the eyes of five modern women. Unbound by the constraints of time, or artistic expression, five contemporary women rose out of the need of the times, to retell the story of their chosen mythological woman, in their own voice.

For a long while, these goddesses have spoken to us through scriptures written in a voice that did not quite delve deeply into the female psyche. Today, we seek to journey into the depths of these women's lives in a soul searching endeavor to find the secrets that lie hidden in their stories.
